      They can probably try, but much like this case, it’s very unlikely it will get anywhere.

      Why would they? Car manufacturers have sued Chinese state companies for producing identical rip-offs and Chinese courts invariably rule that they look nothing alike whatsoever. Suing China for blocking you is not only going to have 0% chance of success, it also carries a decent chance of being told that you’re not blocked at all and it must be your problem.

    Honestly, why? Like I know the DoD doesn’t ever seem to need justification for anything, but I feel this, considering its a pretty minimal impact designation outside reputation, really should at least have a vague “this reason amongst our list of reasons 10000, figure it out”
