The Wall Street Journal’s fuckup while covering Charlie Kirk’s killing needs more than an editor’s note.

They know that the lie goes around the world before the truth gets it’s shoes on. Alternately, The Liars Dividend to create even more confusion when confronted with the truth.

The WSJ is a fascist mouthpiece, it wasn’t a fuckup, they fully know what they are doing. Owned by Rupert/Lachlan Murdoch

Yeah, this. I’ve read that a few times already and every time I’m like “yeah, isnt that a GOOD thing?”

I guess that is something that sort of creeps me out, how casually they’ve switched to a narrative where fascists are the good guys

Owned by the same company. Why would they have a different agenda?

To play Devil’s advocate, that isn’t a great argument in the system of capitalism. Two companies owned by the same patent corp can easily be imagined to cater to different audiences so to maximize profits of the parent corp by reaching more overall people.

Fair point. But I think the key is that newscorp is as much an ideological project as it is a business, so in this case it is true. While they’re designed to appeal to different audiences, they have the same agenda.

Related tangentially, but I was sad to see the older conservative kid won the fight (via settlement after losing in court) to control newscorp. I hope the other 3 kids who each got more than a billion for giving up their stake in the propaganda factory actually do something to help society. They won’t but I hope they do.

I put the wall street journal on the same level as breitbart and newsmax these days. Rupert Murdoch has weaponized it against the left the same way he weaponized fox news.

Well yes, but, you can’t really penalize someone for saying fascist lies. Thats innocent and cute.

Whereas mild truth that acknowledges any other position is journalistic malpractice. Inexcusable.

    We know they are lying.

They know that they are lying.

They even know that we know they are lying.

We also know that they know we know they are lying.

They, of course, know that we certainly know they know we know they are lying.

    Yet they still lie.
