As a ux design graduate I realized that my degree is absolutely useless so I switched to IT. Not a single company now gives a flying fuck about what users want or how to design things to help users.

Useless answer but you should know that UX is still important in medical devices and software. Good luck anyway.

You are no longer playing a game if AI is watching over you and telling you what to do. Backseat driver much??? Maybe just let AI play the game and go do something more fun.

The “AI” can have all the fun doing my creative hobbies and I’ll go do something it can’t, like working overtime in the mines.

After multiple AAA game failures, venture capital companies and corporations decided that games are to complicated compared to music and video. Solution, make games like video and music. Regulations are needed to reduce number of key presses in games to ensure all games are inclusive to all type of audience. Maybe that pressing keys is form of aggression, that’s why I needed to hire someone to play games for me, we need to fight with that with technology said prominent gamer and billionaire Gamelon Musk

      The real answer:

companies put billions into the AI craze hoping to achieve AGI and ‘winning’ the race to stop the open internet from existing, and capturing every user into their controlled bubble.

Now that the reality of LLMs not being able to deliver that, they need to find some excuse to explain why that was not a dumb investment.

        The real real answer:

Companies don’t care whether AGI is ever achieved. All that matters to them is to look hype and fresh enough that investors think they will the AI race.

Large companies don’t care about the product, they don’t care about the customer, they don’t even care about whether they will ever make money. They are just a horse to bet on for investors, so all they care about is looking good in a way that investors dump their money into the company.

It’s nothing else than NFTs but for people with actually serious money.
