These are Methodists, though. I think those folks already had their reckoning a few years ago, where the ones who didn’t like the gays took their ball and went home. The remaining United Methodists are more tolerant than your average church.

Yep. For as much as I dislike religion in general, Methodists seem like a pretty decent group to me.
