it’s not even interesting to watch is it…they spend an insane amount on a roster, have insane regular season success, coasting thru it all, knowing their ultimate goal is the playoffs and knowing they’re built to get there. but then other teams that have actually had to fight all year can get hot and end their season anyway

Nearly every time when I tune in to a Dodgers playoff game and they’re batting, whoever is on plate is behind on the count; 0-1, 1-2, that sort of thing. Seems like nobody wants to get on base, always swinging for the fences, chasing pitches.
But if the Dodgers are pitching, it’s the other way around, also nearly always behind on the count; 2-0, 3-1, that sort of thing.

I can’t believe the Yankees lost out. I guess, in hindsight, having Ohtani was a huge selling point for LA and LA is much closer to Japan (home).

1.1 billion dollars they have committed to now this offseason. It’s going to be a laugh when in October they are knocked out during their first playoff series.

Incredibly disappointing but not unexpected. The Yankees never had a chance against a West Coast team anyway.

What we need to do is invest in some farm team infrastructure in Kenya or Chad. Build our own Nippon Professional Baseball League in Africa. But alas, Hal is a coward with no vision.
