EDIT: For anyone doubting the validity of a YouTube channel, Ellie Littlechild and Seán Ferrick are people that attend Trek events. I met Seán at STLV last year. On top of this they have interviewed Mulgrew. While this news is unconfirmed as Ellie stated, Seán relayed this information second hand from Star Trek: The Cruise, which featured the cast of Voyager for its 30th anniversary.

I met Seán at STLV last year (I known I encountered Ellie but wasn’t aware till after the con) and was nice. There were people who asked for photos with him, which he seemed gracious to take. Me personally, I didn’t want to ask him because it looked like he was there with his partner.

They seem like good people. I think the site’s business model makes things look a little shallow or clickbaity, but they do good work.

I think these type of discussions came about shortly after season 1 of Picard.

This came straight from someone on Star Trek: The Cruise.

EDIT: I need to add that the last date of the Cruise for 2025 is March 2, so unless you where there, no one else would have heard.

It isn’t exclusively a series centered on Janeway. This series would be presumably similar to Picard in that notion.

Just give us Prodigy S3. Granted, we’d have to see how they work it out, considering they’ve hit the Picard era.

Maybe we could just have a little “accident” where Admiral Janeway is visiting the Protostar when they all get whisked into the 2430s and can’t return so they don’t have to deal with Picard crap. It wouldn’t be as radical of a future as Discovery - we’ll just have a nice, peaceful era with only the occasional threat.

The Protostar has some new worlds to explore, while Janeway struggles to reintegrate into Starfleet and catches up with her still-surviving friends, probably including elderly Mr. Tysess, Tuvok (who, even with conservative estimates, probably still have 3 decades ahead of them) Chakotay (probably not in as good health as Tuvok or Tysess, but holding on), as well as the Doctor.

Besides potentially being able to do TNG monster of the week, you’ve got at least 1 free episode plot for checking in on Solum. Besides having some plot on thea now non-destroyed Solum, we could have Ilthuran’s reaction to being reunited with Gwyn after decades as well as, at a minimum, a bit of comedy from a nice, non-fascist Ascencia (It would be even funnier if this Ascenscia at one point became a legit Starfleet officer).

I have not seen one single frame of Prodigy but I’m not a hater, give 'em season 3! I wasn’t that into Disco, but I don’t see why it shoulda ended.

Amen to this! We need more trek.

        About newer trek shows:

I love Lower Decks for it’s humor and characters.

I think Prodigy has better writers and character arcs than Lower Decks.

I think Discovery has serious wasted potential due to it’s format, especially post time jump.
