Jesus Christ dude. They took a wildly popular platform, replaced the social aspects that made it popular with incredibly obnoxious ad-spam and didn’t bother to absorb any of the new features or paradigms that other apps were inventing and making popular. So people moved on. It’s not complex. And then, trying to diagnose why everyone might have abandoned it as a result, they say things like:

Second, it feels heavyweight to request someone new as a friend, which makes it hard to rectify the first issue.

Yeah that’s a huge issue. You nailed it, you fucking donkey.

“One potentially crazy idea is to consider wiping everyone’s graphs and having them start again.

Pleasse try this in a panic without testing it first Mark and also btw the reason people hate facebook has nothing to do with you and your rich friends I promise.

I mean, whenever I look at it it’s just trash. Posts aren’t chronological, it’s showing shit from groups/people I don’t follow, and it’s actually buggy when scrolling and loading. Not to mention, all the people I actually care about stopped posting years ago, so it’s just like 3 people reposting stuff from the weird world of Facebook engagement farms.

I left because they sell private data to companies that try to influence elections. And it was MAGA-fying all the boomers.

Zuck seems to be on an even worse trajectory lately. I refuse to use any meta products which kind of sucks because for some reason everyone left Craiglist for Facebook Marketplace.
