None of our top ten teams got blown out by 50, take that AP. But I still think we need to reorder the sidebar. Link to vote: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSc8NFsNvzr51rjxe5WE_WRWbrhkAMrX6pWjex1dacaiplQSsQ/viewform?usp=header

It’s worth noting that this is certainly a human poll, and I really don’t want to think my biases are creeping in, but vols at 7 feels high. But genuinely looking at this I’d have em above everybody below them (other than maybe Indiana?)
1 Miami 2 LSU 3 Ohio State 4 Indiana 5 Georgia 6 Penn State 7 Oregon 8 Texas Tech 9 Iowa State 10 Oklahoma 11 Florida State 12 TCU 13 Texas 14 Alabama 15 BYU 16 Georgia Tech 17 Texas A&M 18 Michigan 19 Vanderbilt 20 Tennessee 21 Ole Miss 22 North Texas 23 Missouri 24 Memphis 25 USC
26 Houston 27 Mississippi State 28 UCF 29 Arizona State 30 UNLV
I like to wait until the results are posted before I share mine. I will be busy this week, so this is about all you will get.
Special Shoutout to Idaho State for winning 90-0. If we did FCS, I would put them in. I don’t know if you need a rule, but winning by 90 should get you at least a vote.
Okay. My computer poll is starting to make more sense. Unsurprisingly, the undefeated teams are at the top regardless of their SOS. Since it is an ELO-based algorithm, winning is the only way to gain a meaningful* amount of ratings points. Hence, why there are some outliers like North Texas. But they will likely be eclipsed by as other teams play higher rated opponents. On the other hand, they are in the American, which has shown itself to be the best Group of 6 conference (and right up there with the ACC according to my poll).
*There is some margin of victory components, so it is possible for an underdog to gain points with a close loss, but that isn’t common and won’t get you that many points
