    Unions and cooperatives are notoriously busted, sabotaged, and discouraged by those with any money or power, so idk what always allowed really means here.

    I mean yeah, and you should do that, but that doesn’t solve the larger problem. Yes it’s allowed, but appropriating the labor of others shouldn’t be. This is like trying to counter abolitionists by saying they’re allowed to run a plantation without slaves.

    It’s only allowed because the “free” market won’t let them compete on equal terms - companies that exploit their workers and environment will always have a leg up in capitalism.
