What a great trio to be elected into the hall. And I’m very happy that Mauer got in. My dad was a Twins fan and I was a catcher from a young age, Mauer’s hard work and dedication to his craft was very inspiring.
Definitely a worthy class. Congrats to them all!
I was looking through some of Todd Helton’s stats and noticed something wild (to me at least). In the 2000 season, Helton led the NL in WAR, H, and OBP. He led both leagues in 2B, RBI, AVG, SLG, OPS, and TB. Still somehow, he finished fifth in NL MVP voting! Crazy times.
