Rep. Randy Fine (R-Fla.) last week demanded the feds “review every naturalization of the past 30 years – starting with Mamdani. I just think we need to take a hard look at how these folks became citizens, and if there is any fraud or any violation of the rules we need to denaturalize and deport,.”

I have a better idea. Start with Melinia Trump and her parents. Maybe send Baron on his way as well. Then have a good hard look at Elon Musk.

MAGA is scared of progressives like Mamdani, not wealthy neoliberals like Pritzker or Newsom.

With a neoliberal MAGA gets to keep running the same playbook that’s been working for them. That’s why they fight publicly on social media with neoliberals. But never do shit like this unless it’s a progressive.

All bad regimes are right wing. They should be replaced with left wing regimes because they are always good. Counterexamples are not truly left wing.

Under the European system of monarchies the king owned all land in the kingdom. On that legacy King Charles III and the pope are still the two largest landowners in the world. Were the British Empire and the Roman Empire communist?

E: The US federal government owns about 27% of the land in the US including the majority of Washington DC. State governments own about another 7% and local governments another 2%. That’s more than a third of the country. What’s the tipping point? How far are we from becoming communist based on land ownership?

Left and right is about economics. You can have shit on both sides of that. What’s more important/better are those that seek liberty for society. Authoritarians will be left right or both simultaneously if it serves them. ML and fascists being prime examples.

All bad regimes are authoritarian. All good regimes tend to be flat/granular and answerable. Yes that type of thing tends to be mostly on the left, just not exclusively.

China is orders of magnitude more of a force for good than the US is.

China becoming hegemon would unironically be amazing for humanity

        • Lol nope.

I am Chinese American, I do not want either the USA nor PRC becoming some “global superpower”. Any country becoming such influential in the global stage would become extremely corrupt, if it isn’t already corrupt. Looking at how much food safety issues are in mainland China, tofu dreg, lack of labor rights, repressive Hukou system, discrimation and lack of protection for people with disabilities, especially any brain related ones like Autism Spectrums Disorders, filial piety being used as an excuse for child abuse, ultra-conservatism, toxic masculinity, misogyny, obsession with having children and anyone who choose a childfree life is socially ostricized, unmarried people, especially unmarried women, are socially ostricized, etc…

People simping for PRC don’t know anything about it. Its a horrible opprrssive regime. A couple breaks policy and give an unauthorized birth, what does the government do? “This child does not exist”. I didn’t even get legal documents for the first few years of my life until my parents paid the money the government demanded for my birth, as I was the 2nd child, born against policy. Children being punished for their parents so called “crime”, the crime of me existing without a government permission slip… since when the f does government have a say in personall matters, its literally just the opposite of forced births essentially, government overreach in matters they have zero bussiness in. They love to pretend things don’t exist when it suits them. (See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heihaizi)

          Fuck PRC and the CCP.

Unfortunately such a system doesn’t exist. Britain used to be hegemon before world war 2, then the US, and soon the PRC.

I’m not part of the imperial core (US), so I’d rather deal with Beijing than Washington in foreign affairs.

Unfortunately, my country already has all those discriminations, so the only thing that would change for me is dealing with a more cooperative rather than extractive “pole”

How DARE this ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT try to Shape US Politics!

Of COURSE I’m talking about Elon Musk Mamdani?

  • Mamdani already admitted to using weed, if they have evidence that he did it before 2018, (or if he admits it), then they could legit just take away his citizenship for using a controlled substance. “Legal weed” is a misconception, btw.

Like holy hell, wtf. For a non-violent victimless crime, the punishment is losing your rights. Absolute insanity. Not to mention, all these bogus “terrorist” or “communist” allegations. Denaturalization has a lower threshold of proof than “Beyond reasonable doubt” and its a civil court, I don’t think they even need a jury. Just a random trump judge can be rubber stamping it.

As a former PRC Citizen and a current US Citizen, this is terrifying to me. My citizenship was derived from my mother, so they could just accuse my mother of being a “Communist” (which she is not) and then also revoke my citizenship (since it was originallt derived from her naturalization), in one sweep, and then probably seize all her financial assets in the US. According to PRC laws, the moment you obtain foreign citizenship, you automatically lose PRC citizenship. So… now what? Statelessness? The fuck?

Besides, I’m literally anti-CCP so these “Communist” allegations are ridiculous anyways. But you know, loopholes, I don’t even need to be involved, they denaturalize my mother and I’m cooked. (I guess maybe I can run to canada and plead for asylum? 🤔)

    This is tyranny.

It wasn’t in a good place when COVID hit.

COVID outcomes world-wide were basically worse depending upon the amount of corruption was in your government. I think the US is no exception to that and we had some of the worst outcomes in early COVID because we had the most government corruption.

The problem is that too many aren’t.

Zohran’s beating the tar out of a formerly popular incumbent with vastly more money and institutional support. He’s got a huge popular groundswell of support. If he wins, he’s threatening to AOC a number of other regional incumbents, including the current minority leader Hakeem Jeffries.

A lot of the “stupidity” is decades of misinformation, indoctrination, and poisonous fascist propaganda. It is textbook manufactured consent.

Garbage in, garbage out. The smartest minds in history have believed horrible, foolish bigoted things, simply because their brains were pumped full of rot early on.
